A cookie is a small file which we transfer to your computer's or device's hard drive the first time you visit the website. This enables our systems to recognise your device if you visit again and to offer functions and content which are specifically tailored to you.
Cookies are very useful, as they ensure a more user-friendly experience if you visit a website regularly. Assuming the same device and browser is used, cookies may save your settings (in your shopping basket, for example), communicate information about your use of our website to us, and display content that corresponds more specifically to your interests and requirements. By using suitable analysis programs, such as Google Analytics, we are able to perform statistical analyses and diagnoses to help us improve our website content, products and services. The cookies used for our website only collect anonymised data that cannot be traced back to your personal information.
What is more, YOU are the one in charge. You can use your browser settings to manage cookies. For example, you can delete existing cookies, choose to accept or reject all cookies, accept only certain types of cookies, or arrange to be notified when a website intends to save a cookie. The procedure for controlling and deleting cookies may vary depending on the browser you are using. You can find more information on this via the Help function in your browser.
Google Analytics (web analysis/tracking)
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis services supplied by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files which are stored on your computer and which allow your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is normally transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is saved. On this website, Google Analytics has been extended to include a code that enables the anonymised collection of IP addresses (IP masking). This means that, before transfer, your IP address will be abbreviated by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other countries outside of the European Union which are signatories to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA before it is abbreviated. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google uses this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide other services for the website operator related to the use of the website and internet usage. The IP address identified from your browser by Google Analytics will not be merged with other data collected by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies via the relevant setting in your browser software. Please note, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all of the functions on this website. You can also prevent the recording of the data collected by the cookie with respect to your use of the website (including your IP address), as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available via the following link ( https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB ).
We also use Google Analytics to analyse data from AdWords and the DoubleClick cookie for statistical purposes. This function can be deactivated via the display specification manager ( http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=en ).
