With the official announcement from State Ministry of Housing and Rural & Urban Construction to better manage domestic standard work and strengthen bilateral cooperation with other international standard organizations around the world, a new government body,Technical Standardization Committee of Water Supply & Drainage was established by the State Ministry of Housing and Urban & Rural Construction in December 2011.This government organization will be responsible all the water supply and drainage related standards making and management work in China (both Industry-Level product standard and GB-Level technical specification) and at the same time introducing advanced standard in other Developed countries to China.
This committee is composed of 43 members and 37 of them come from the top-class domestic design institutes, scientifical research institute, University and national-level testing labs, etc. Only 6 members are selected from industrial companies around China. Wen Wu, on behalf of Geberit is elected into this committee as commissioner (4 years term). This means from one side Geberit in the future will officially participate the standard making and management work on behalf of Government and on the other side Geberit will exert more influence on the standard in China in the field of water supply and drainage as well.
