Intelligent faucets
Touch-free electronically operated faucets combine a high degree of hygiene with the effi-cient use of water. In other words: water only runs when really needed. Such faucets are mainly used in the public sectors where water-saving is of prime importance.
Furthermore, the Geberit faucet WT 60 is awarded the international energy-saving label “Energy”.
Water-saving technology for urinals
The electronic urinal of Geberit registers the number of users and, in case of high user fre-quency (e.g. airport), does not flush after each use so that a further 30% of water can be saved. By developing new urinal traps, the flushing volumes could continuously be reduced from 3 to 1 liter. By doing so, ten thousand liter of water can be saved and working expenses can be reduced. For reaching a high hygiene by using only one liter flush volume, the urinal flushing control, the trap and the urinal have to be optimally coordinated. The Geberit urinal flushing control with only one liter of water is an intelligent system solution and combines all these advantages.
Reduced WC flushing volumes
In private households, a considerable amount of fresh water consumption is caused by toilet flushing. Geberit technology provides for an important contribution to the reduction of drink-ing water consumption. Since introduction of its plastic cistern in the fifties, a continuous re-duction of water consumption has been recorded. The Geberit flush-stop system permits an individual dosage of the flush. The dual flush mechanism, introduced in 1996, operates with three liters for “small” and six liters for “big business”. In comparison to the still used nine liter full flush, the water consumption can be reduced till 60%. Depending on the purpose this solution is available for the visible cistern as well as for the concealed cistern.
The Geberit water-saving-conversion set allows for a change of older cisterns to the flush-stop system or to the dual flush mechanism.
Another important environmental aspect is the high spare part guarantee of 25 years for all concealed cisterns.
"Silent" guarantees quiet drainage
For buildings with increased acoustic requirements Geberit offers the Silent/db20 drainage system made of mineral reinforced plastic. This guarantees a full acoustic insulation and in-creases the residents quality of life. The drainage system distinguishes itself by a good Life Cycle Assessment. During the disposal, the pipes can be completely recycled and com-busted in a harmless way respectively. Furthermore, the energy consumption during the pro-duction is clearly lower than in case of cast iron pipes.
