Quiet under the roof

Noise reduction insert for Geberit Pluvia roof drainage

Noise reduction for new as well as existing roof drainage systems
Depending on the intensity of rainfall, loud gurgling sounds may emanate from Geberit Pluvia roof drainage pipes. A new noise reduction insert provides the solution.

Effective roof drainage using negative pressure
Thanks to its principle of operation using negative pressure, the proven Geberit Pluvia roof drainage system quickly and safely channels extremely large volumes of water away from flat roofs. In doing so, Geberit Pluvia requires fewer water inlets and smaller pipe diameters than a conventional roof drainage system.

Air turbulence creates noise
If the rainfall is too small to create constant negative pressure in the system, the system draws air in. The air/water mix thus created leads to increased sound pressure levels. This is particularly annoying if the room directly under the roof is in use.

Tackling the source of the problem
To alleviate the conditions that cause the noise, Geberit has developed a noise reduction insert which can be used in both new and existing Pluvia roof outlets. The insert mitigates the problem at the point where increased noise levels arise and reduces the noise considerably.
